Patient Right and Responsibilities

Patient Right
  • Access to care:
    Entitled to fire, considerate & professional medical care by competent personal, regardless of care, gender, ethnicity, religious belief or age.
  • Communication:
    Entitled to know about their physician & information about diagnosis, treatment & prognosis of the disease.
  • Choose:
    Entitled to choose the physician & if needed to get transferred to the unit of choice and/ or seek second opinion.
  • Feedback:
    Right to comment on tour care & to have your concerns addressed. You should direct any complain to a staff member to the manager so that immediate & appropriate action can be taken to remedy your concern.
  • Financial Aspects:
    Right to know about the expected cost of treatment.
  • Information:
    Right to know about hospital rules and regulations.
  • Participation:
    Right to give informed consent prior to initiation of any procedure/ surgery including risk involved and understanding the alternatives available.
  • Privacy & Confidentiality:
    Right to privacy & confidentially of treatment during diagnosis & to ensure confidentiality of medical record.
  • Safety:
    Right to respect and dignity during treatment and maintaining safety and security with in hospital premises.
  • Transfer to other facility:
    In case transfer to another facility is required patient to be provided complete explanation including alternatives to the transfer.
Patient Responsibilities
  • Act wisely:
    Expected to follow treatment plan recommended by the treating physician & in case of refusal to be responsible for the consequences of the same.
  • Abide Rules:
    Are expected to abide by hospital rules & regulations affecting their code and conduct the patients shall maintain decorum at all times and shall not cause any nuisance / disturbance within the premise.
  • Communication:
    Expected to provide correct demographic and medical details of the patients.
  • Financial Commitment:
    Are expected to know that the financial obligation for the services are met.
  • Hand Wash:
    To frequently wash hands before and after entering the patient care areas, this would help in minimizing infections for our patients.
  • Informed Consent:
    Responsibility to understand all instructions before singing the consent form. In case of any query please clear form the treating medical team.
  • Patience:
    No photography, video shooting is allowed within or in the vicinity of hospital without prior permissions of the management.
  • Respect:
    Responsibility to respect doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
  • Stay in Premises:
    Not to leave the hospital while admitted in the hospital.
  • Valuables and Belongings:
    Responsibility to take care of all your valuables and belongings.
